Dear Daniel

NHS Scotland Agenda for Change Pay Negotiation 2022-2023

Further to communication with the Cabinet Secretary for Health & Social Care where he confirmed his intention to initiate direct pay negotiations with the health trade unions and professional organisations for Agenda for Change staff working in NHS Scotland through STAC for 2022- 2023.

The joint trade unions and professional organisations are frustrated the negotiations have not commenced in time for staff to receive on increase on 1 April 2022 as would have been anticipated. To support the commencement of negotiations the joint trade union and professional organisations have formulated a joint claim to enable negotiations to begin without delay. We enclose the claim which has been agreed by of all the Agenda for Change trade union and professional organisations represented on STAC.

It is imperative that arrangements are now put in place for the negotiations to commence. We are committed to moving the negotiations forward as you will agree it is important that the hard working staff within NHS Scotland are fully recognised in a timely manner. Therefore, can arrangements now be put in place for a series of meetings to conduct the negotiations.

Can you please liaise with myself as the staff side secretary to confirm arrangements and l will also confirm the staff side negotiating group.

We look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

Yours sincerely

WILLIE DUFFY

STAC STAFF SIDE SECRETARY
